Alamitos Sun Frost is a breeding stallion with prepotent power… A sire of proven genetics… A product from generations of breeding superb athletes… Sun Frost, Doc’s Jack Frost, Doc Bar, Lightning Bar, Driftwood, Depth Charge, The Ole Man, Alamitos Bar and 4 times to the great Albert Lopez stallion, Top Not.  This cremello stallion is registered APHA as Alamitos Frost.  He is a paternal half brother to PC Sun Socks, Frenchmans Guy (#1 Barrel Horse Sire in 2002), PC Bronsin, French Flash Hawk “Bozo,” (5 time World Champion Barrel Horse), and PC Frenchman that was the high selling horse in Cowan Brothers 1999 Production Sale.  The Hunt Ranch has the distinct honor of owning the first two stallions by Sun Frost that were double-registered AQHA and APHA.  They are Alamitos Sun Frost and PC Sun Joaker.

Alamitos Sun Frost is a nominated stallion to the 5-State and Bold Heart Barrel Futurities.

CHICKS SUN SOCKS      2001

Chicks Sun Socks is out of the last colt crop by PC Sun Socks.  This super palomino stallion has everything.  His breeding is Sun Frost, Laughing Boy, Vanzi Bar, Pie In The Sky (by Easy Jet), Chicks Deck (by Three Chicks), and the all-time great, Lady Bugs Moon.  What a pedigree, and what a great disposition.  He is well broke to ride, is a tremendous saddle horse, and we believe he will prove to be an outstanding sire.  His full brother, Pie In The Sky Socks, owned by Joe Painter, has proved himself to be one of the top steer wrestling horses in high school competition.  It is inevitable that Chicks Sun Socks will produce some outstanding and potentially performance promising prospects.

FRENCHMANS MR TUFF 2001

Frenchmans Mr Tuff is a beautiful dark palomino stallion with halter conformation, profile, and a tremendous amount of athletic bone structure.  Owned by Gene Hunt, Frenchmans Mr Tuff is out of an own daughter of Doc’s J Bee and is an own son of Frenchmans Guy, who is an all-time leading barrel futurity sire.  Frenchmans Mr Tuff is double bred Doc Bar top and bottom and has and throws a tremendous amount of hip on his colts.  He is broke to ride, has a good mind, and moves and travels right.  What a tremendous asset this stallion will be to Gene Hunt’s breeding program crossing him back on own daughters of PC Sun Socks, a three quarter brother to Frenchmans Guy.

Frenchmans Star comes from an amazing female family! Dash With The Stars has seven stakes winners under the first dam and eight horses with si's between 101 and 107. She also has three half-sisters that are stakes producers, not to mention that she is by the great race horse and barrel race sire, Dash Ta Fame. Frost Jet is also a paternal half brother to Kristie Peterson's 5-time World Champion Barrel Horse, French Flash Hawk, "Bozo", Frenchmans Guy, Leading Barrel Futurity Sire, and a maternal half brother to "Cruiser", who carried Charmayne James to her last World Championship.
